It is no secret that with the coronavirus scare and the general flu season that we are in people are more concerned than ever with their immune Health in this is for good reason. That said, there is a lot we can do that is natural and safe to bolster our immunity and give ourselves the best chance of either preventing infection, or, at the very least having a speedy recovery without a long drawn-out highly stressful period of time.

That said I wanted to put together some of my favourite tools and supplements that I use and recommend each day in order to keep myself healthy and ensure smooth recovery and that might be beneficial to you too for stocking up and comparing yourself and the ones that you love for what might be a drawn-out and long. Of infectious illness going around.

Judging from what some people are saying, this  coronavirus outbreak and circulation will continue for the next 3 to 6 months easily and travel in waves of infection so if you are not in a place nearby a case yet, chances are it will spread to just about everywhere so let’s just be safe and on top of things and give ourselves a bit of insurance with these effective and relatively easy to acquire natural boosters.

  1. Elderberry Syrup
This is a delicious and effective way to deal with cough, cold, and viruses and it’s something I LOVE to use because it is so darn tasty! Definitely great for kids and those who can’t tolerate some of the stronger tasting options that we’re going to detail below.

I like THIS BRAND which is available on, look for similar products if you’re in the US.

I take 2-3ml 2-4 times per day and find that it always lessens the duration and intensity of any symptoms I might be experiencing.

You can also mix it with some fizzy water and make a healthy mock-tail as a tasty and immune supportive drink that can be enjoyed at anytime.

Also, this brand combines both elderberry, elderflower, Bee Propolis (Bee products are AMAZING in their own right! Here is A LINK to my favourite company for BEE PRODUCTS)

  2. Colloidal Silver
This is another potent antibiotic, antiviral, and anti-infective that is safe, easy to get, and has a good track record of helping to prevent and treat many common issues around infectious/pathogenic dis-eases.

I like THIS BRAND as a retail option, however anything pure and with 10 PPM or more is likely effective. That said, 10 ppm is quite low so you might need to dose continually for a period of a few weeks at 1-3 tsp per day to maintain effectiveness.

For something far stronger, and PROVEN to be VERY effective on many serious pathogens such as those associated with LYME and it’s co-infections. Although I haven’t personally used this brand it comes HIGHLY recommended from my colleagues who deal with lots of chronic disease and serious issues.

    Get it on Amazon HERE.

  3. Black Seed Oil
This is another strong anti-infective agent that works to bolster immunity in a natural and safe manner.

It tastes pretty strong so be warned when taking it that you might want to chase it with some juice or something but I quite like the taste personally.

I will take 1/2 tsp 1-2 times per day as a preventative and then if sick, I’m taking 1/2-1 tsp 3-4 times daily.

I also like to rub a little of this on topically applying to lymph nodes on the neck, wrists, and even to rub on the bottom of my feet before bed (of course putting socks on top to prevent staining my sheets with oil).

NAKA is a good brand although Perfect Press makes an even nicer formula that doesn’t seem to be available on Amazon anymore unfortunately.

  4. Thieves Oil
This is a favourite of mine and it has been for many years since I first learned about Thieves oil and its potent ability to prevent/kill infections. It’s typically a blend of Rosemary, Cinnamon, Clove, Lemon, and Eucalyptus essential oils and works great as a preventative, can be diluted and applied topically like the Black Seed Oil above, and can also be taken directly in the mouth (if it’s a pure and food safe brand, many are not so be aware when choosing)

You can also diffuse it in an aromatherapy diffuser/nebulizer to help clean the air in your home/office.

    Get it on AMAZON HERE

    5. Oregano Oil
Specifically, P73 with high Carvacrol Content – Wild Mediterranean (not the cheap cultivated Thymol based stuff)

Oregano Oil has been used since ancient times and is well studied to be effective against a whole host of pathogens. It is usually best used in softgels but if you’re like me, you might want to bite into it and swish it around your mouth a little bit, just be warned that it is HOT and can burn sensitive areas so be prepared with a bit of water or coconut milk to wash it down if you’re sensitive to these kinds of things.

It was one of my top travel items that I brought with me to Peru years ago which kept my belly healthy and clean as I would use two softgels each time I ate at a local street food market stall and was likely being exposed to all kinds of potentially pathogenic organisms.

North American Herb and Spice (GET IT HERE) has the Gold standard for all things Oregano although there are other good brands which are also Wild, Hand Harvested, Pure Oregano as well.

    6. OregaRESP
Closely related to the above suggestion, Oregaresp is a very similar product from the same company, although in this case they have added essential oils of Cassia, Cumin and Clary Sage to specifically support the respiratory tract and infections that might want to take hold in the lungs.

Again, I take 2-3 of these a couple of times per day, and particularly when flying or being exposed to large groups of people, and I sometimes pop one or two of them and take deep inhales with the oils wafting in my mouth to get the goodness into my lungs.

    7. Deep Immune – Astragalus Combo Formula
This next one is another classic in the herbal medicine/adaptogen world and that is Astragalus. It is best known for its energy enhancing, anti-aging, and immune boosting properties and that’s exactly why it’s included here.

This formula in particular combines Astragalus, Nettle, Reishi, Schisandra, and Southern Prickly Ash along with some homeopathics, all of which work together to prop up your immune system and give you the energy, vitality, and healing power that you need to stay well all Winter long and especially during this time of Corona Virus chaos.

    8. Breathable Ozone Device by Therasage
This is a bonus suggestion that isn’t a supplement but is rather a device that gives you access to breathable Ozone which works as a oxidative therapy device and has been shown for decades to be great for killing all kinds of pathogens and increasing oxygenation of tissues, both of which are essential for long term health and proper immune system function.

    9. Beekeepers Naturals Products – Propolis, Honey, Pollen, and more!
So this list wouldn’t be complete if I didn’t shoutout my friends at Bee Keepers Naturals who make what is in my opinion some of the very best, cleanest bee products on the market.

In particular are their Propolis throat spray and their Bee Powdered are my two favourites, and especially the throat spray given the current season and respiratory challenges many are facing/the ease of application while on the go.

As far as I know they are the only company that tests each batch of honey in order to assess for pesticide levels AND they work directly with the best beekeepers to support a healthy and sustainable approach to bringing back the bees amidst the massive die off of recent years.

CHECK THEM OUT and spoil yourself with some delicious, health enhancing, immunity boosting, Bee Created goodness!

    10. Vitamin C (Liposomal)
I initially left this out as it seemed too basic, Vitamin C, everyone knows about that I thought, however, after reviewing some of the effects of Liposomal Vitamin C in particular I knew I had to add it to this page.

Liposomal simply means that the Vitamin C molecule is bound inside a Liposome which is a special kind of highly absorbable phospholipid containing package that improves absorption DRAMATICALLY when compared with standard oral vitamin C.

For that reason, it’s imperative that we use something of good quality that allows us to get way more bang for our buck and really support our immune and overall health by getting therapeutic doses of this powerful nutrient.

Recently I really am preferring the Liquid form of this because I simply enjoy the taste and like to hold it in my mouth for a minute or so/swish it around to get maximum oral absorption, however any liquid or capsule as long as it is truly LIPOSOMAL C (and ideally non-gmo or corn derived) is going to work just fine so use whatever works best or is most available for you.

And that’s all I’ve got for now.

I could list off dozens more things and I will in future instalments but for now, get yourself some basics, take care of any glaring nutrient deficiencies you might have in things like like Vitamin B’s, D3, K2 (MK4 or MK7 forms), and Selenium (3 Brazil nuts per day or a couple Oysters 😉 ), keep your mood positive, live your life the best you can, and keep your medicine cabinet stocked with some of the above so that if and when you become stressed or immunocompromised, you have support and tools to work with.
